Stageworks is Tampa’s longest-running professional theatre company, onstage since 1983. Our mission is to create theatre that respects, ignites and celebrates the human spirit, and challenges the thresholds of intolerance. Stageworks Theatre has been recognized many times over the years as an outstanding venue. Directors, playwrights, actors, designers, and staff of the theater have all received awards. These recognitions have only motivated Stageworks to continue working towards its goal of delivering quality plays that matter to the Tampa Bay area.

Ok, I love the Straz Performing Arts Center, I go there for big and small shows (Jaeb and Jobsite theaters are there too), but for great local productions, your within walking distance of Stageworks! It's a hidden gem in Channelside, very reasonable prices with usually interesting and sometimes edgy material. Second floor about a block away!

Stageworks Theatre is a theatre, based in Tampa, Florida currently being led by Producing Artistic Director Karla Hartley. Stageworks Theatre took possession of its own performance space in 2011 located in the Channelside District of Tampa
