Originally built in 1906, this Church was one of the largest in Western Canada. On July 22, 1968, the building was destroyed by a massive fire. A new smaller church was built in 1972 behind the original facade of the destroyed church.

One of the most beautiful views of Winnipeg. The cathedral is also part of local history. With the French community around it, the cathedral has an air of peace but also of culture.

The St. Boniface Cathedral-Basilica, Mother Church of Western Canada and historical site of Manitoba, was established in 1818 in the Archdiocese of Saint- Boniface. Its impressive cemetery, iconic facade and architectural beauty makes it a beautiful place to visit.
