A great family-owned Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant. This downtown location is the original restaurant founded by the family. It also has a quaint Italian market at the entrance of the restaurant. Since then, descending family members have opened several more locations throughout the San Diego and Southern California area.

Since 1949, this spot has been a local favorite. This is one of those red-checkered-tablecloth spots, Chianti bottles overhead, serving amazing ravioli, spaghetti, lasagna and pizza. Originally D’Filippi’s, this is the first Filippi’s location.
