We generally avoid the tourist traps of the V&A Waterfront, but in honouring the origin of the waffle we’re including Belgian restaurant Den Anker. Keeping tradition intact, they serve crispy-corner waffles with frills and thrills like cream, ice cream and syrup simply added as gentle toppings to the real star — a light and fluffy foundation. Don’t mess around with imitators; head straight to the source for this one. And this is the closest you’ll get to Belgium on any average Saturday.
