What a place! Definitely recommend. This is just opposite Piccadilly station in Manchester.

Set at the site of an old rail depot, Escape to Freight Island is a casual dining / drinking experience to remember. With food offerings including the One Star Doner Bar - serving kebabs and by a Michelin Star chef! There is live music, dancing and even a roller disco! A great outdoor/indoor venue in Manchester city centre for food, drinks and music. Really great vibe from noon on a sat/ sunday. Train from Romiley to Man Picadilly, then 5 mins walk to location. Great place to meet for lunch, then hop back on the train or explore Manchester for shopping, museums. Or a night out..
