This is truly one of Colorado's best hikes. It has a large elevation gain and ends with a killer staircase leading to one of the best views in all of the state.

This is one of my favorite hikes to recommend to visitors. Devils Head is a forest ranger fire lookout, so it has incredible views in 360 degrees. Photos don’t do it justice. This hike is easy enough for those who are not used to the altitude, and just over a mile in and a mile out. Go EARLY to find a parking spot, especially on the weekend! It can be chilly in the mornings depending on what month you’re hiking, so be sure to bring a light jacket.
