This is the pier in Pacific Beach, walk through the Crystal Pier hotel gate all the way to the end of the pier. You can get a close up from the surfers and beautiful views. I recommend lunch or happy hour at Tower 23 hotel (JRDN Restaurant), just north of the pier.

Talk a ±one mile walk along the boardwalk from Crystal Pier south down to the roller coaster at Belmont Park. Good people watching along the way. Also check out the Wavehouse near the roller coaster which has an artificial wave.

Overlooking the ocean on a pier that dates to the 1930s, quaint Cape Cod-style suites and cottages. Crystal Pier is a public fishing pier during the day and has a great vantage point to look at the city, the beach, and the surfers below. Large central pier for walking or fishing. Endless stretches of white sandy beaches with access to swim or surf. Extensive paved boardwalk connecting Pacific Beach, Mission Beach and Mission Bay. Excellent for running, walking, biking or just watching to color crowd go by. Copious amounts of restaurants and shopping.
