This is both food /and sight seeing really - there is a walking trail over the fleet starting at the manor. Get a high tea or lunch after at the manor - it’s quite reasonably priced for the quality.

Amazing lagoon, the fleet which is an inlet of water, where the bouncing bomb was tested. Moonfleet manor serves scrumptious afternoon cream teas. Great coastal walks. View the beautiful swans.

Moonfleet is forever bound with Falkner’s classic 1898 tale of smuggling, published in 1898. It’s everything you would expect from an English country manor. Surrounded by gorgeous scenery, I personally love it here for the afternoon tea and a walk around the Fleet. They also have a spa and pool if you want to treat yourself to some pampering. It’s just a ten minute drive from where you’re staying.
