See if you can spot the seals at st.Mary’s lighthouse! Around a 40 minute walk along the coast!Or you can drive and park in the car park! 🦭
Beautiful walk over to St Mary's, but beware of the tides, the island is cut off from the mainland at high tide.
Lovely place to visit when the tide is low. Sometimes there are seals nearby. Also during the day there is a chippy van and an ice-cream van. Bright your buckets and spades!
St Marys Island is great for families with kids as it has its own nature reserved with lots of rockpools to explore and maybe spot a seal or some dolphins. You have to check the tides to the island so you don't get stuck on there. You can climb to 137 steps to the top of the Lighthouse and take in the spectacular views of the North East coastline. There is a small cafe and souvenir shop on the island.
