Botanical gardens is a family friendly place to visit to explore the great outdoors. Enjoy a stroll along five nature trails that will lead you through manicured gardens, forest, wetlands, a fresh water pond, & even a city lookout rest area. Test your nature knowledge with the information boards along the trail's path and, through your stroll, keep alert to see how many different species of wildflowers & birds you can detect. Tree swallows nest in nesting boxes at the boardwalk of trail number four during nesting season and, in the recent past, a saw-whet owl was seen in the trees along the walking path.

It is a great place to come and learn about Newfoundlands Natural environment or cultivated gardens.There is a wonderful cafe. You can enjoy the garden area while sitting on a bench or walking the trails. There are many gardens to see, a public greenhouse, an alpine house and it has a series of hiking trails to enjoy as well as well as many festivals to enjoy throughout the year.
