Offers great food on Friday and Saturday night from 6pm but get there early to avoid disappointment. BYO tipple and enjoy!
We love walking to Chapel Porth from Wheal Coates for an ice cream. You can also drive it’s National Trust but it gets very busy in the summer so go early or late. Dogs welcome on the beach which is stunning and our favourite local beach but you need a low/mid tide.
Beautiful National Trust Beach with a cafe serving "Hedgehogs" Cornish Ice cream dipped in clotted cream and encrusted with hazelnuts
The one and only - clotted cream hedgehog ice cream ... Cornish vanilla ice cream rolled in clotted cream and nuts!
Quite apart from this being a stunning beach (a breathtaking walk from St Agnes village) you can get decent food here. It does a nice line in chunky croque monsieur variations (seafood, veggie and traditional ham and cheese) and the famous hedgehog icecream (lacquered in Cornish clotted cream and rolled in nuts).
