Enjoy a picnic at the scenic Meridian Hill park. The gorgeous tiered fountain, statues of historic figures like Dante and Joan of Arc and overall design give this park a European feel. Lots of benches, grassy spots and shades make it an ideal spot for relaxing with a book, a picnic or for taking a jog. On weekends, the park is buzzing with yoga enthusiasts and --on Sunday afternoons in the warmer months-- a drum circle!

This park is great to hang out. Quite literally. In the summer, many people will come with their hammocks and set them up between the trees. There is also a vibrant drum circle that practices here on Saturdays. From the top of the park you have a beautiful view across DC down 16th St all the way to the White House.

Officially known as Meridian Hill Park, this unique outdoor space is known as Malcolm X Park to locals. This is a great spot to people-watch and to stretch your legs in the city.
