The history of Lynn is often overlooked, being sandwiched between Boston and Salem, two historical juggernauts, but Lynn is rich in history, having once been home to Frederick Douglas, a robust shoemaker industry and it is where fluff was created!

Learn the history of Lynn with it's excellent exhibitions of the Shoe Factories, Fluff Plant and how it got it's moniker of...Lynn, Lynn, City of Sin. This is an excellent starting point for the Murals self-guided tours. 15 Murals painted by international artists adorn several downtown buildings portraying Lynn's current heritage.
