A great walking tour to this beach. Easier to walk in peak season because you won't get a car park. Has a great park & kids play area close by along with BBQ facilities. I can organise a guided Beach & Bay Tour for a nominal fee, so you get a local's perspective.

A great beach for the family, reasonably shallow water (depending on the tide), a playground, bbq's areas, toilets, shady trees and grassy areas.

Go Swimming or SUP'ing in the clear blue water, with shallow depths that are easy to paddle in and safe for kids to have a splash. If you are going for a swim, the best time to visit is at low tide when there is more sand at the back of the beach - however even at high tide (as in the photo above), there is still a stretch of white sand at the Nelson Bay end of the beach. If you want to get on top of the water, you can also hire a SUP (Stand Up Paddle board) from Port Stephens Surf School for approximately $30 an hour and cruise around the flat waters and take in the views.

Beautiful place for a cool swim and lovely picnic venue, particularly at high tide with crystal clear water. Good snorkelling on the high tide at the right end of the bay.
