Hire a bike at one of the dozens of stands in the city and take a bike ride west along the Lake Ontario shore. A half-hour along, just before you get to Humber Bay Shores Park, take a turn north and follow paved bike trails along the Humber River through marshy wilderness and emerge into a park system lined with waterfalls that used to power the many grist, woolen and other mills that lined the Humber River. If you're ambitious, you can end your journey at the Lambton Inn, a perfectly preserved 19th century hotel that used to host visitors to the community around the mills.
