Just 15 minutes walk away over Vauxhall Bridge is the original Tate museum that shows great exhibitions, has a brilliant giftshop and a lovely (expensive) restaurant Rex Whistler (you may need to book).
One of the best collections of British art including Turners and Pre Raphaelites. Free entry and about a thirty minute walk from the flat.
This is a 40 minute walk/10 minute bus or tube away - the permanent galleries are amazing - a fab collection of British art from the Tudors to the Tate prize. Not as popular as it's Tate Modern cousin but has some great shows as well and the vibe relaxed and quirky

“Clearly running along the river is great for both combining tourism and fitness. Head North on the Southbank and you can run all the way to St Pauls the Tate Modern and back for a nice 10km. Warning as you pass the London Eye and the carnival of street entertainers outside Royal Festival Hall its best done in early morning. For less hectic runs the nearby Battersea Park is beautiful and it’s nice to run along the river front and past the Buddhist Pagoda. There is a little piece of road running to get to the Park. Finally nearby there is FloatWorks and Embody Wellness for flotation tanks, massages, yoga and pilates. Plus the VauxWall Climbing Centre. ”
