Sunne Church. Sunne Church's history was initiated in the 13th century. The present church was rebuilt after a fire in 1886 and was completed in 1888. Because of its size, the church is called "Fryksdalen Cathedral". The church's oldest object is the baptismal font from the 13th century. The crypt of the church (under the high altar) is worth a visit. Anders Fryxell, a priest and professor of history, has written the text for Värmlandsvisan. The author Göran Tunström, whose father was a priest, had his childhood home just south of the church.
