If you visit the beach at low tide, you have to walk accordingly a fair bit, before one can dip your toes into the sea water. On one side of the bay, the River Tay runs gently through the sandy riverbed and flows into the sea. On the opposite side, inland, there is an old lime kiln.

Stradbally Cove is a a 5 minute walk downhill from the village square. It is a beautiful long narrow beach with coastline protection on both sides. It can be quite a distance to walk to reach the sea even at high tide. It is a great quite beach to spend the day with the family exploring the coastline or relaxing on a sunny day.
